Lead Teacher
Position Description
A lead teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of students in their care. The primary function of lead teachers is to work with students and meet the annual learning objectives mandated to meet their graduation needs. Additionally, lead teachers plan, evaluate and improve the physical environment of the classroom to create opportunities that meet the needs of our academically challenged students. Lead Teachers direct the additional teaching and tutoring staff.
Salary: $42,000
12 Month Contract
Duties (Monday – Friday / 40 Hours Per Week /8hr day)
Before Shift Begins
☐ Sign-in to your time and attendance platform (we recommend 15 min prior to school starting)
☐ Review daily goals with support staff (tutors)
☐ Facilitate Daily laptop distribution and inventory
☐ Log into Online Learning Platform using your assigned company laptop
☐ Facilitate in setting up the classroom (morning motivational, policies/procedure board, etc.)
During Shift
☐ Greet each student and ensure that all policies and procedures are strictly enforced at the front door
☐ Run attendance daily utilizing the online attendance platform
☐ Facilitate daily motivational morning activity
☐ Address the students for 15 minutes in the morning and review the goals and objections for the day
☐ Ensure that support staff is walking around the classroom every 15 minutes
☐ Leads weekly vocational instruction
☐ Handles all small behavioral issues (shift to Dean if escalation is needed/ex: suspension)
☐ Complete daily student reporting document
☐ Complete daily attendance
After Shift Ends
☐ Dismiss Students at the end of the shift and ensure they disperse away from the school
☐ Ensure the classroom is organized and prepared for the following day before leaving
☐ Ensure all incident reports have been filed and the appropriate parties have been informed
☐ Facilitate laptop inventory of all returned computers
☐ Facilitate breaking down the classroom
Additional Duties
☐ Contact online students and ensure they are actively completing their tasks (Online Teacher Only)
☐ Facilitate student orientations (prepare welcome packet/PPT for students)
☐ Lead all annual parent/teacher conferences
☐ Attend all campus staff meetings
☐ Prepare report cards each quarter
☐ Facilitate food service (if applicable)
☐ Lead all supplemental evaluations (IReady, GPS for SUCCESS)
☐ Lead in completion Senior Checklist items
☐ Check your emails routinely to ensure that any pending issues have been addressed
☐ Maintain Credit Breakdown (after SA does initial entities)
☐ Maintaining Student APEX accounts
☐ Adding and Closing Student APEX Courses
Academic Tutor
Position Description
Tutors are responsible for helping students to understand different subjects and assist the Teachers. They assess, assist with classroom facilitation and encourage the students in the learning processes. These professionals also review materials used in classes, explain various topics, and answers questions of the student regarding to that topic.
Salary: $37,500
12 Month Contract

☐ Assist in daily laptop distribution and inventory
☐ Log into Online Learning Platform using your assigned company laptop
☐ Assists in setting up the classroom (morning motivational, policies/procedure board, etc.)
During Shift
☐ Greet each student and help to ensure that all policies and procedures are strictly enforced
☐ Help students to their seats and provide them with a laptop.
☐ Work with students directly and walk around the classroom every 15 minutes
☐ Point out and assist with any behavioral problems that arise throughout the day to the teacher
☐ Complete daily student reporting document
☐ Assist teacher with daily attendance
☐ Conduct daily Student Advisor communication in regards to “at home” students
☐ Ensure that verbal and written communications including tone, demeanor, and content with students, and parents are at all times professional, appropriate and respectful.
☐ Use available technology including whiteboards, computers and augmentative devices.
☐ Provide appropriate supervision to students during recreational periods, arrival and departure, field trips, office.
After Shift Ends
☐ Assist in dismissing students and ensure they disperse away from the school
☐ Assist in laptop inventory of all returned computers
☐ Ensure the classroom is organized and prepared for the following day before leaving
☐ Assists in breaking down the classroom
